Purchase New Windscreen Wipers And Save Cash On Your Motorcar.
The myriad of tiny but necessary things that need to be performed on your car on a regular basis can soon expand; why not save yourself some money by finding out how to do them yourself. Much of what is required can be performed by an untrained person without the need to resort to a over priced mechanic. The wiper blade is no exception to this fact and it to could benefit from regular inspections and maintenance. Other things requiring a look at comprise fluid levels, washer levels, oils, brakes, coolant, spark plugs, belts, tyre pressures and hoses, all of these things can be observed relatively easily. The modern automobile is not quite what it used to be, back in the day all the parts were quite standardised but now everything is custom made for that one unique model of motor. In fact with many styles you can’t even get into the engine without special tools and risk voiding your agreement. One part remains the same though and that’s the wiper blade mechanism, you can still fidget with your own wiper blade as much as you like. The normal wiper blade is an often not noticed aspect of car maintenance, without it you would not be able to see good and would be a danger to yourself and others on the roads.
If you are seen by the police using a motor vehicle without ok windscreen wipers you should expect to get a large fine and if you are responsible for an accident you could even face jail time. Having bad windscreen wipers can even fail you your MOT so giving them a nice once over is well worth your time and energy. Many factors will determine the frequency with which you apply this task, if they are manufactured of rubber you will need to change them around once every six months. If you live in an harsh environment such as the arctic, the desert or somewhere very wet you may need to change them much more frequently. Things like salt, ultra violet and ozone are extremely bad for the rubber in your windscreen wipers and other car components, so it’s is vital for you to check and change them on a regular basis. If you live by the sea this advice will be even more pertinent as there are extremely high levels of ozone directed in from off coast, sunlight mirrored from the sand and salt from the ocean in the area and can cause trouble with your cars internal parts and replacement wiper blades.
If you get some wipers made from silicone the burnout time is increased exponentially, silicone is a very strong stable material and as such will last for much longer volumes of time, in any conditions. If you are looking for the number one wipers then this is it, silicone can contend high and low temperatures and will not breakdown in contact with the elements like the comparable rubber wipers. Buy the right size for your car and lift up the arms away from the windscreen, slide out the old wipers and push in the new ones and your done.

Beware The Seaside May Damage Your Wipers.
Everyone adores the coast with its myriad of novel things and sights so removed from our every day worlds of living in a fast urban place. In many ways trips to the seaside illicit fantasies of a long ago era when times were less complicated and families couldn’t afford to travel around so they anchored at home to experience their trip. Those days are long gone but there are still many of times when a trip to the sea side is quite refreshing, although, like most things, there is a price to be paid. You see the salt in the seaside air has quite a detrimental quality on your car and the wiper blades are no exception. The salt is both very alkaline and very hard and damaging, these little devils can corrode paintwork and get trapped inside moving parts causing heinous ablation and even scratching glass and paint. The high pH of salt is why the majority of plants fail to thrive at the coast and only special varieties like dunes survive; however this alkalinity is also responsible for removing the rubber found on your wiper blades and any where else in or on your motor vehicle. The sand is also extremely pale and as such reflects a large proportion of the sun light hitting it, this ultra violet light is then often reflected at you or your car again reducing the delicate rubber wiper blades. Another hidden danger found at the beach is the high levels of ozone blown in from off the coast, this style of gas is fine for humans but is damaging to the soft rubber found in wiper blades and other car parts.
The salt particles act like sandpaper and rub away the rubber windscreen wipers until they become highly ineffective, the ozone penetrates deep inside these fissures causing problems from the inside out and the ultraviolet light causes the rubber to become stiff and inflexible. There is however a solution to all these problems for any one living in coastal or desert regions or simply enjoys a trip to the beach every now and then. It’s strange that a material found in sand, silicone, is itself the solution to the problem, silicone windscreen wipers are exempt to all of the factors we have already explored. They have many great properties that make silicone an ideal windscreen wipers substance, they are unaffected by salt, ozone, and ultra violet light and as a result have an enormous life span when compared to everyday rubber wipers.
For this reason they represent exceptional value for money and only cost marginally more than premium rubber replacement wiper blades but last much longer. Standard rubber replacement wiper blades are only ok for around one hundred thousand cycles; silicone replacement wiper blades however are workable for millions of cycles. Another thing you can do to lessen the damage caused by the coastal environment is by buying some flat replacement wiper blades; these have no moving parts and therefore are protected to the wear and tear caused by sand abrasion. In addition, they can be swapped with silicone replacement wiper blades inserts to produce a totally winning combination at the beach. The single joint-fewer frames will not succumb to the corrosion experienced by basic replacement wiper blades sweeping arms and as a result last much longer.

Motor Extras And Your Second Hand Corsa
It can feel so good when you have bought your first car, no matter if it is a brand new super car or a second hand corsa. When you pull out of the drive for the first time in the car that you own, you will be over the moon. This is one moment in your life that you are likely to remember forever. In the happiness of the moment, you will be likely to miss out on checking whether your vehicle has come with all the mandatory car interior accessories.
Sprucing up your new vehicle with accessories is common when you buy a second hand corsa or similar used car. The following car interior accessories are a must in a used car.
1. Floor mats – Although most people would agree that floor mats are needed in every car, some sellers leave them out. The front of every car should have floor mats in but the back can also be protected. So if the person selling you the car does not have the floor mats, make sure you pick some up from your local car parts dealer.
2. Cup holders – They may seem standard on most cars, but a used car might not have them installed. They come in a myriad of colours to suit any car interior and are well worth their money. This is especially true if you do not have leather seats and stains could happen.
3. Hands-free Cell Phone Holder- If you do not have Bluetooth on your phone but you need to be contactable when driving, you should buy a hands free kit. If you have an accident or get caught using your phone you could kill someone and end up in prison, so they are a must in every car.
Air fresheners, funny signs, back seat organisers and sat navigation systems are other popular accessories. You will enjoy driving your new car even more if you buy the accessories that you really want.
